Residing in the town of Wolverton, main character Scott Harold [Townsend Coleman] was a teenager at the local high school who had to protect his secret: he came from a family of werewolves. Living with his family (many of which constantly appeared to be in a state between human form and werewolf form), Scott only had two friends who knew about his alter ego: Styles and female friend Boof. He had to cope with the dealings of teenage life, as well as keeping his anger under wraps - especially when the full moon appeared.

Scott's grandparents, Grandpa Howard and Grandma Howard, were Transylvanian immigrants. While Grandma is depicted as a medium or fortuneteller, Grandpa is usually seen scratching his ear with his foot, or chasing stray cats on all fours - serving as an embarrasment to Scott. His younger sister Lupe always appears in human form, and it is unknown if she carries the werewolf gene - although she aspires to become one.

Scott's crush at Wolverton High School is cheerleader Pam, who consequentially has a bully boyfriend named Mick, who pushes Scott around. Little does he know that Scott could rip him to pieces in werewolf from, which Scott struggles to refrain from.
