Popular cat-eating TV icon Alf hosted this show in animated form, and reflected on his personal life back on planet Melmac. Better known as Gordon Shumway [Paul Fusco], Alf either brought the audience through a day in his life with family members Flo [Peggy Mahon], Bob [Thick Wilson], Curtis [Noam Zylberman], friends Augie [Paulina Gillis], Skip [Rob Cowan] and love interest Rhonda [Paulina Gillis].

The episodes were famous for featuring popular fairy tales told through the wacky imagination of Alf, such as Jack & the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, Robin Hood, Sleeping Beauty, Rumpelstilskin, Peter Pan, and Goldilocks, just to name a few. Episodes frequently poked fun at current events and fads, or even famous people (President Reagan comes to mind). The humor featured in the show was more adult than anything else, the aim was obviously to appeal to viewers of all ages.

The short lived series spanned one season. Various episodes have been released on DVD by Lions Gate Studios.
