Dragon's Lair was a Saturday morning cartoon based on the popular arcade game of the same name, which debuted in arcades the preceeding year. This narrated animated series follows video game protagonist Dirk the Daring [Bob Sarlatte] in his explots across the kingdom ruled by King Ethelred [Fred Travalena], as he battled strange creatures, sought out treasure, and protected the beautiful Princess Daphne [Ellen Gerstell] from the dragon Singe. Following in the open-endedness of the video game (which typically displayed various death scenes based on making the wrong choices), the cartoon series featured a number of "choices" that Dirk could make, and then returned to the show after commercial break to display the results of those choices.
