Borrowing mildly from the live-action TV series, "The Dukes
of Hazzard," this show featured the entire cast including Bo
[John Schneider] and Luke Duke [Tom Wopat], Uncle Jesse Duke [Denver
Pyle] with his pet raccoon Smokey [voiced by Frank Welker], and
Daisy Duke [Catherine Bach]. Greedy tycoon Boss Hogg [Sorrell Booke]
followed the Dukes around in their world-wide racing exploits, and
tried hard to find out what they were up to and put a stop to it,
along with Sheriff Rosco Coltrane [James Best] and his dog Flash
[voiced by Frank Welker].
The
cartoon featured a new Dukes theme song that was not associated
with the original theme, which was performed by country singer (and
narrator of the entire original series), Waylon Jennings. The series
lasted two seasons.
