Blue colored, easygoing hound Foofur [Frank Welker] breaks his pals out of the dog pound: his little blue niece Rocky [Christina Lange], big bulldog Louis [Dick Gautier], blonde haired Hazel [Pat Carroll], tiny Fritz [Jonathan Schmock], Fencer [Eugene Williams] - the karate chopping cat, and Annabell [Susan Tolsky], whose shaggy fur covered her eyes.

Foofur and pals lived in his old master's home, threatened for sale by the mean spirited home owner Ms. Escrow [Susan Silo] and her devious chihuaua Pepe [Don Messick]. The plot of each show involved the gang of dogs scaring away buyers who came to look at the house put up for sale by Ms. Escrow, as well as escaping the cluthces of the town's dog catchers, not to mention the hostile rats who also lived in the house.

Various episodes of the cartoon series "Foofur" were released on VHS, but have been long out of print.
