My Pet Monster, a monster of a friend
My Pet Monster, my very very bestest friend
He's big and blue and scary,
But a friendly monster too,
My Pet Monster, Pet Monster I love you!

He's always playing scary tricks, but I know thats ok,
'Cause he's just having lots of fun in his own monster way
He loves to munch on garbage, he'll even eat the can,
If this sounds gross, please understand - he's my best friend!

My Pet Monster 22" tall plush animals were produced by the Amtoy company, and marketed by American Greetings, in 1986. Featuring signature break-apart handcuffs, the doll said six different phrases, such as "I am your monster friend!," "I'll protect you!," "I'm really strong!," "Ooo, your really strong too!," "Let's wrestle!," and a clattering noise. The cartoon series was used to boost popularity of this toy.
