Dog-pound resident puppies break free with the help of a young orphan, Holly [Ami Foster], and scatter from Holly's guardian Katrina [Pat Carroll] and her daughter Brattina [Adrienne Alexander]. The puppies: Howler [Robert Morse], Cooler [Dan Gilvezan], Bright Eyes [Nancy Cartwright], Nose Marie [Ruth Buzzi] and Whopper [B.J. Ward] worked to find homes for other abandoned puppies. They also warded off Catgut [Frank Welker] and Nabbit [Frank Welker]. The series later spun off a movie in 1988 entitled "Pound Puppies and the Legend of Big Paw"
