Dear visitors: if you are having problems receiving the forum's confirmation email after registering, please follow the guidelines below for your specific e-mail service. If you are still having registration problems after following these directions, then please let us know immediately (http://www.retrostatic.com/forums/../contact) and we will help finalize your registration.
For AOL Users: AOL will block message board confirmation emails 100% of the time. This is an AOL issue, not a server or message board issue. If you register using an AOL email address, you will not get the confirmation email, hence, you will never be able to complete your registration. The only way to get around this is to use a non-AOL email address when you sign up on the forums.
A good rule of thumb: if your e-mail address is from AOL, HOTMAIL or LYCOS MAIL, there is a possibility that the confirmation email for your new account will not arrive due to their more aggressive spam regulations. It is best to use email clients such as GMAIL if you have one. In short, add the domain “retrostatic.com” to any “white list,” “contact list,” or “safe senders list” that your e-mail service has within its Options menu. Otherwise, please review the following instructions if you cannot receive your registration confirmation e-mail:
Yahoo E-mail Users:
By default, your Yahoo e-mail account has “Spam Guard” set to “On.” Leave this setting as-is, but simply check your “Bulk” e-mail folder. This account will send suspected spam messages to the Bulk folder for one month:

If your auto-confirmation e-mail is not in the “Bulk” folder, then check the “Trash” folder, in case one of your custom filters has sent it there. If you still do not see your auto-confirmation e-mail after approximately one hour in any folder, then please then please contact us (http://www.retrostatic.com/contact).
MSN Hotmail Users:
Check your “Junk Mail” folder. If your auto-confirm email has arrived, open the e-mail and click on the button entitled “Not Junk.” Additionally, add the e-mail to “Contacts” or “Mailing List.” This will allow our domain to arrive to your Inbox from now on.

If your auto-confirmation e-mail is not in the “Junk” folder, then check the “Trash Can” folder, in case one of your custom filters has sent it there. If you still do not see your auto-confirmation e-mail after approximately one hour in any folder, then please then please contact us (http://www.retrostatic.com/contact).
AOL e-mail Users:
Note: It is highly recommended that you do not use an AOL email address to register on the forums, as the confirmation email will assuredly be blocked by AOL. Check your spam folder (if it exists for your account). If you have AOL 6.0 or above you may access your spam folder by going to Keyword: Spam Folder or by visiting your mailbox on AOL 9.0 and above. If your auto-confirmation e-mail is in the spam folder, just hit the "This Is Not Spam" button when you open it.

Lycos E-mail Users:
Check your “Junk” and/or “Trash” folder. If your auto-confirm email has arrived in either folder, click the checkbox to the left of the e-mail, then click the drop-down box that says “Move To” and select “Inbox.” Then, on the left hand bar, click “Options” and “Personal Filters.” Scroll to the bottom and click the “Create filter” button. In the “From” field, type “retrostatic.com” and select “Contains word” in the drop-down box to the right of it. Then, for the “Target Mail Folder,” select “Inbox” and click “Save.” E-mails from us should now be going straight to your Inbox from now on.
