"I'm not trying to be a complainer." But I've just received the new G.I. Joe Season 1.1 DVD from Shout! in my mail yesterday. And I watched an episode of The M.A.S.S. Device episode, and the images came out the same way as they did for the new Transformers Season 1 DVD from Shout!. It's been remastered, but with some different looks of characteristic effects in it. And also the closing credits looks a little different too. Plus they showed a few of the G.I. Joe toy commercials on one of the discs. And they also have concealed the live boys' faces playing with the toys in in commercials. Like they did in The Transformers commercials in its DVD. This could've been Hasbro's doing. I'm not sure. But Hasbro is now under a new corporation. And we may not know what they've been doing with the Sunbow cartoons, since they took over. It would've been best for them to leave G.I. Joe, and The Transformers cartoons the way they were. I'm devoted to their origional images. Because G.I. Joe, and The Transformers came on when I was 11 years-old. And I grew up with them. This is only my opinion. But I don't know how other fans feel about this. If any of you have ordered and received these DVD's yet.

Wow, did they really blur out the faces on those commercials? They might as well have not even released the commercials at all.

This doesn't surprise me, since these companies refuse to release anything in its original form. Just look at the Captain N DVDs, all of the original music was stripped out because of licensing issues. As if they couldn't pay to get the rights to songs that are like 20 freakin' years old.

Yes Mark. They did cover the boys' faces in those commercials. Including the commercials on the new Transformers DVD's. But there's an old G.I Joe doll introduction on the DVD from 1963 that lasts for about 5 minutes. But they do show a boy's face in it. Happily the commercial bumpers are in these DVD's. That's the wonderful part. But the colorful looks in these cartoons have been re-colored with sharper color in it. With some different moving looks in the cartoon. That's the discouraging part. I just feel that this was kind of a waste of my money. But at least the commercial bumpers are in it. I also bought the new "Monster Squad" DVD last month. And it was remasters. But the pictures stayed the same, and the film looked a lot clearer in all 13 episodes. That was good. At least they never cut out any scenes. But As for the Sunbow cartoons. Hasbro should have left them all alone and not alter them with new looks to it. They looked ruined that way. If Hasbro does this to other Sunbow cartoons. Including Super Sunday. Then this will be a problem for us fans. And we don't want that to happen. If fans want to buy these new DVD's, it's up to them. On how they feel about the new looks to it. Or even if they like the bumper in it. Also, there were only 6 "Knowing Is Half The Battle PSA's" that are separate from the shows on one of the DVD's. They only show "Torpedo, Spirit, Deep Six, Mutt, Barbecue, and Alpine."
