I was wondering if anyone who's Italian are concerned about what fans were hearing in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show? A lot of times, you may hear King Koopa saying jokes, and names to the Mario Brothers that has to do with Italian food. Because Mario and Luigi are Italians. I don't know if it could be offensive to some Italian people. And you can even hear Mario and Luigi saying Italian jokes like "Leaping Lasagna", pasta, and callamari to themselves. That's probably because the Mario Bros. are clannish people of their heritage.

There was also an ethnic remark in the Beverly Hills Teens. In the episode "Down & Out in the Teenclub." When Bianca Dupree called Tara a "Southern Fried Chicken." Because Tara was a Southern Belle, and she was from Louisiana. I don't know if it offended Southerners.

And I also read an article on Toonarific.com years ago. It was talking about "Speedy Gonzales." It said that Hispanics were offended by him. Because he was a Mexican mouse.

I think this is all 21st century stuff..none of it was offensive back then because it was never meant to be - today, everything is offensive to everyone
