Scientist have just claimed that the Earth's Moon is now shrinking!:shocked::shocked::shocked:
They say that the reason why, is because it's due to the effects from the Moon's solidification after it was molten 3 billion years ago. Including its secondary heat from radioactive decay down into the Moon's interior.
The also claim that the Moon has now shrunk a total of 200 yards in diameter during the past 1 billion years. If this is true, how will the Earth's ocean tides react if the Moon continues to get smaller in a vast of years in to come? Scientists believe that the Moon is moving away from the Earth a centimeter per year. And it's been doing that ever since the Moon was created about some 3 billion years ago. (Maybe that's why people say:"The Moon doesn't fall out of the sky")
But the Moon has the gravity to control our ocean tides. And without the Moon someday, how will it effect that? The Moon's gravity also makes the Earth spin, with a rotation of 24 hours per day. While the Moon is either 240,000, or 270,000 miles away from the Earth. Scientist also believe that when the Moon moves further away from the Earth in about 3 milleniums from now, the Moon's graving attracting the Earth with grow weaker, and make the planet spin slower and longer than 24 hours. This means the Earth days will be longer than 24 hours, and the clocks will have to be added with more numbers than 12 for the hours to complete its new longer day. The days will get longer than 24 hours from now on by then.
Also, was the Moon's ancient heat creation condensed minerals on the surface, and in the interior with iron, basalt, and anorthosite rock. It's mountains were formed by debris from asteroid impacts. And lava rills on the Moon's surface were created probably by secondary heat from radioactive decay from the interior, after the Moon cooled over 3 billion years ago.
Scientist believe that the Moon is 3 billion years old. But in the Bible, it said that it was 5,000 years old during Project Genesis. The same age Judaism has been around.
But if the Moon is continuing to get smaller, it won't get any smaller during our lifetime. We'll all be dead by then.
"This does sound bizarre to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
