This was some live mini-series that lasted for about maybe 20 minutes or more. I saw this on a video tape being lectured in my school by a school staff person back in 1988. But I'm not sure if it was made in the 80's or the 70's. But there were young little kids that lived on another planet, because there was no room for them to live on Earth. And they were inside an elementary school complex. On this alien planet, it was always raining everyday, and in the plot of this series, "the sun would only shine on this planet once every "10 years", and then it would continue to rain non-stop for ten years and so on forever." There was a scene where the young kids were sunbathing with electrical artificial sunlight in a classroom. And a female teacher was in it. The teacher told the kids that the sun was going to come out very shortly, and would only shine on the planet and stop raining once every 10 years. The teacher gave each kid a small box kit of sun protecting components. Then later in the program, it stopped raining, and the sun came out. The kids went outside to play in the sunlight, but one of the kids, locked a girl inside a room in the school, and could only see the sunlight through a crack in a door. The kids ran outside and picked flowers that we growing out from the ground from the sunlight and they were playing and dancing. But then minutes later, the clouds covered the sun and it began to rain again for the next ten years. Soon the girl who was locked in the room, was released, but she was crying, because she missed seeing the sun, and was discouraged that she would have to wait for the next 10 years for the sun to appear again. At the end of the show, the girl, the kids, and the teacher were outside the school in front of the entrance in the rain, and the girl was still crying, and then the kids handed the flowers that they all picked to the crying girl, and the girl was holding them all in her arms. And then the other kids were crying for her too, because they felt very bad for her, because she missed seeing the sun come out. Then they all went back in the school, and then the program was over. Does anybody know what the name of this special show was? Does anybody remember it? I don't know if this was ever transmitted on any TV station, or if it was some OAV? But I remember seeing this show when I was 15 back in 1988. But it was only in my school for some lecture. I'm trying to look for it on DVD or VHS. Does anybody know about this show????
