This is the year that the Ninja Force characters were released: led by Snake Eyes, and also including Zartan, Night Creeper, Scarlett, Banzai, Bushido and Slice - including the Ninja Lightning cycle and Ninja Raiders with their clotheslining weapon attachment. By this time in the toy line's history, G.I. Joe vehicles were primarily seen in exotic neon colors, breaking away from its more traditional look.
Many G.I. Joe toy commercials in the early 1990s featured live-action acting, an interesting change of page.
